Hall of Fame
Elder, a five-year member of the track & field program (2015-20), competed in multiple throws disciplines and owns the program's indoor shot put record (15.13), as well as the outdoor shot put (14.82), discus (47.39) and hammer (46.07) marks.Â
Elder, who qualified for both the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships in 2019, also collected eight NE10 Championship medals, including five gold (indoor shot put – 2019, 2020, indoor weight throw – 2020, outdoor discus – 2018, outdoor shot put – 2019). Her other three medals are silver (indoor shot put – 2018, outdoor discus – 2016, outdoor shot put – 2018.
Elder was named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America in the shot put in 2020. She was also recognized as USTFCCCA All-Region on six occasions (indoor shot put – 2018, 2019, outdoor discus – 2016, 2017, 2018, outdoor shot put – 2018). Additionally, Elder was a five-time NE10 All-Conference recipient (three times in the shot put and twice in discus), including two-time First Team choice (indoor shot put – 2019, outdoor discus – 2018).
Elder was also impressive in the classroom, racking up USTFCCCA All-Academic (2018, 2019, 2020), CoSIDA Academic All-District (2019, 2020), NE10 Sport Excellence (outdoor 2020) and NE10 Academic All-Conference (indoor – 2018, 2019, 2020, outdoor – 2019) honors.
