Junior Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) won both of her matches, including a No. 2 singles victory that clinched a 4-1 win for the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team over Saint Anselm College on Thursday afternoon at the Saint Anselm Tennis Courts. The remaining two matches were suspended due to darkness.
KEY MOMENT
- SNHU was in control at 3-0 when Abadzic finished the Hawks off with a 6-2, 6-2 No. 2 singles victory against Julie Borschig.
NOTES
- Abadzic also teamed with sophomore Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) to double up Irene Garbo and Natalia Gonzalez Ramos, 6-3, at No. 1 doubles.
- The Penmen lead the all-time series with Saint Anselm, 24-5, and have now won 24-in-a-row versus the Hawks, including 14 straight at Saint Anselm. The last time SNHU lost to the Hawks was at home April 14, 2005 (6-3). Saint Anselm has not defeated the Penmen on its own home courts since March 13, 2004 (9-0).
