MANSFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team was chosen as NE10 Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 19, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Rollins earned individual medalist honors at the Granite State Opener, which was held Monday and Tuesday at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord, N.H. Rollins matched a seven-year-old, two-round program record with a 9-under 135. He carded a 4-under 68 in the opening round, before firing a 5-under 67 to close it out.
Rollins and the Penmen return to action Monday (Sept. 25) when they play host to the Penmen Invitational at Concord (N.H.) Country Club.
