Freshman Minke van de Poll (Oosterbeek, Netherlands) scored her first career goal in overtime to lift SNHU past Franklin 1-0 in a Northeast-10 field hockey contest on Wednesday night in Manchester.

KEY MOMENTS

• Wiersma blocked a Franklin Pierce pass, sending a pass to van de Poll who buried the game-winner at 63:45.

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Penmen outshot the Ravens 5-0 in the first quarter.
• Franklin Pierce mounted a serious challenge early in the second quarter when Peeters made two of her saves and the Ravens had three penalty corners in the first five minutes.
• SNHU dominated the run of play in the second half, outshooting the Ravens 17-4 including 12-2 on goal. 
• Wiersma had eight shots in the game, and Raven goalie Zoe Noorlag came up with big saves throughout the second half.
• Noorlag made 18 saves.
• Each team had three penalty corners.

NOTES

• The Penmen went to overtime for the second consecutive contest after falling at Pace 3-2 Saturday.
