MANSFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Claudia Keith (Danvers, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team collected NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the period ending Sept. 17, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Keith, who also captured the accolade Sept. 4, stopped 10 of the 11 shots she faced during a 1-0-1 week for the Penmen. Keith made all five saves in a 1-0 blanking of Lynn University on Thursday and then turned away another five shots in a 1-1 draw with Barry University on Saturday.
In four matches this season, Keith has made 19 stops on 21 shots, posting a 0.50 goals-against average and .905 save percentage to go with her 3-0-1 record and pair of shutouts. She leads the NE10 in wins and save percentage, while ranking second in GAA, shutouts and saves.
Keith and the 24th-ranked Penmen are back at it Tuesday (Sept. 19) at 4 p.m. when they take on Queens (N.Y.) College.
