Sophomore Philipp Herrmann (Bruckmuehl, Germany) scored twice in the first half to lead the 10th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Adelphi University in Saturday's NE10 opener at Ouellette Stadium.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Southern New Hampshire took advantage of an Adelphi red card just 7:56 in when Herrmann buried a penalty kick opportunity to make it 1-0.
  • Herrmann struck again in the 23rd minute when he settled a beautiful cross from Escobedo on the right side of the box and deposited a shot into the back of the net.

  • Junior Preston Neal (Windham, N.H.) was not forced to make a stop.
