KEY MOMENTS – GAME 1
  • Southern New Hampshire struck four times in the top of the first, with an RBI groundout from junior Mike La Rocca (Vero Beach, Fla.) and a run-scoring single back to the pitcher by Schwartz bringing home the first two runs. Burgos lifted a two-out pop-up to shortstop that was dropped and allowed the final two unearned runs to score.
  • After American International scored one in the home half and two more in the second to pull within 4-3, SNHU grabbed two back in the third, with an RBI single to center by Caraher and a sacrifice fly to center off the bat of Burgos that pushed the lead back to 6-3.
  • AIC scored one in the bottom of the inning, but an RBI single from La Rocca and a run-scoring double by Schwartz extended the Penmen advantage to 8-4 in the fourth.
  • With the score 8-5 in the eighth, freshman Jake Pisano (Hamden, Conn.) led off with a solo home run and sophomore Anderson Moreno (Bronx, N.Y.) added a two-out, two-run single to make it an 11-5 game.

KEY MOMENTS – GAME 2
  • SNHU jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second, with a walk, two errors and a fielder's choice scoring the four runs.

  • SNHU scored four seven times in the fourth, sending 11 batters to the plate. A wild pitch, error and a balk brought in the first three runs, before another RBI base knock to center for Burgos, a two-run triple to right by Risedorf and a run-scoring single to left by freshman Dyrenson Wouters (Oranjestad, Aruba) made it 13-5.
