Perez collected the loose ball that was knocked away, maneuvered between defenders and slotted the ball into the lower right corner, just inside the post.

- Assumption stretched the lead to 3-1 just under 10 minutes into the second half when the Penmen failed to clear and Vegard Pernes dribbled to the left side of the box, and ripped a right-footed shot that found the back of the net.
- SNHU pulled within a goal just over four minutes later when sophomore Alejo Caceres (Cordoba, Argentina) sent a feed that set up Gonzalez to make a long run, weaving through defenders before finishing to make it 3-2.
