Trevor Anibal (Bedford, N.H.) came out of the SNHU bullpen to lock down Friday's 4-3 win for the #11 Penmen over Stonehill College. Redshirt sophomore
Nick Schwartz (Massapequa, N.Y.) went 3-for-3 with a home run for the Penmen in the NE10 Conference opener at Penmen Field.

- Sophomore Trevor Anibal (Bedford, N.H.) earned the win with 5.2 innings of scoreless relief. He allowed two hits, walking one, and striking out eight.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Penmen took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Senior Dakota Mulcay (Goffstown, N.H.) walked, advanced to second on a single by Schwartz, and scored on a single by Kennedy.
- Stonehill pushed a run across in the top of the third inning on a passed ball to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Skyhawks threatened in the top of the fourth, loading the bases with one out, but White struck out consecutive batters to end the frame without a runner crossing the plate.
- In the bottom of the fourth inning, Mulcay again drew a walk. Three consecutive singles by Schwartz, redshirt sophomore Cam Caraher (Plymouth, Mass.) and Kennedy gave SNHU a 3-1 lead.
- Schwartz smacked a homer to straight-away center in the bottom of the sixth to put the Penmen up 4-1.
- Stonehill made it 4-3 in the top of the eighth on a two-run homer by Blaine Lidsky off SNHU redshirt freshman reliever Connor Wagstaff (Ellsworth, Maine).
- Anibal came on to record the final five outs, all by strikeout.
NOTES
- This was the NE10 Conference opener for both teams, and the first of a four-game series at Penmen Field.
- The home run for Schwartz was his first for SNHU - he had hit one homer in nine games for St. John's last season.
- Lidsky's homer for the Skyhawks was his sixth of the season, tops among players in the NE10.
- Anibal earned his first save of the season, and second of his Penmen career.
- The Penmen are 35-41-1 all-time against Stonehill. SNHU has won the last six, and eight of the last nine games between the schools.
- The win was #401 at SNHU for 13th year head coach Scott Loiseau. He hit the 400 win milestone last Sunday at Adelphi University.
- Senior Sam Henrie (Middleboro, Mass.) saw his 14-game hit streak come to an end with an 0-for-4.
UP NEXT
- SNHU and Stonehill will play again on Saturday, March 26 (12:00 p.m.). The teams are scheduled to play two seven-inning games.
