KEY MOMENTS
- SNHU shot 7-of-14 in the first quarter, but trailed 22-18. Pace hit 7-of-11 shots (63.6%). The Penmen would have its only lead of the game at 6-4 with 6:41 left in the first period.
- A 6-0 run by the Setters to open the second quarter extended the lead to 28-18, and the home squad would maintain that lead to the halftime break.
- Knollmeyer put up six points and pulled down six rebounds in the third quarter, hitting a layup at the end of the quarter, but Pace led 55-43 heading to the final stanza.
- The Penmen hit 5-of-7 three points in the fourth quarter, three by Timberlake, but could not get any closer than seven points.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- SNHU shot 25-for-66 (37.9%) for the game, but did hit 8-of-20 three-point field goals. SNHU was only 8-for-15 from the free throw line (53.3%).
- Pace was 27-for-62 (43.5%), and 9-for-20 on three-pointers. The Setters had a strong day from the charity stripe (9-for-20).
- The Penmen turned the ball over 13 times, while the Setters had 14.
- Pace had a 44-38 advantage in rebounds.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, which is receiving votes in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division II Top 25, entered the game ranked 16th in the D2SIDA poll of media members. Pace was ranked 22nd in the most recent D2SIDA poll
- Pace has won the last three games with SNHU, and leads the all-time series 21-9.
- The Penmen have dropped consecutive games for the first time this season after falling overtime to Adelphi on Thursday night.
- With a 6-3 NE10 mark, SNHU trails Northeast Division leader Bentley University by 1.5 games. Saint Anselm currently sits in third place at 6-4. All Northeast-10 teams will play in the post-season tournament.
WHAT'S NEXT
- SNHU will make-up a Northeast-10 doubleheader with Southern Connecticut State University at the Stan Spirou Field House on Monday (1/31) beginning at 5:30 p.m.
- Fans attending on-campus events at SNHU are required to wear a face mask, regardless of vaccination status. The concession stand will be closed.
