Game One Score: Southern New Hampshire University 7 Shippensburg State University 1
Game Two Score: Southern New Hampshire University 11, Goldey-Beacom College 1 (5 inn.)

Game One:  SNHU 7 Shippensburg State 1

In the first game of the day, the Penmen fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first inning when Shippensburg 3B Courtney Coy doubled home Kayla Bonawitz, who had started the game with a single.  It would be the only run the Raiders would score against junior Maddy Barone (Halifax, Mass.), who went the distance in securing the win (1-1).  Barone allowed four hits, walked one and struck out eight.

SNHU tied the game in the bottom of the first.  Sophomore Shay Sauvageau (Griswold, Conn.) walked, eventually scoring on a sacrifice fly by junior Jordan Wade (East Taunton, Mass.).

The Penmen rolled out to a 5-1 lead with four runs in the second inning.  After a double by freshman Emily Carbonneau (Lowell, Mass.) a couple of walks, Sauvageau ripped a bases-clearing double.  She scored on a single by senior Erin Garczynski (Norwood, Mass.)

Junior Gabriella Vachon (Newton, Mass.) had an RBI single in the fifth inning, and Wade knocked in her second run of the game with a single in the bottom of the sixth.

Game Two:  SNHU 11 Goldey-Beacom 1

The Penmen finished off the Lightning early, scoring in three of the five innings.

Again, SNHU fell behind 1-0, but rallied back for a 2-1 lead in the second inning.  Carbonneau led off with a home run to right center field and Vachon added an RBI double.

Four runs in the bottom of the third inning made it 6-1.  The inning featured RBI singles Garczynski, Carbonneau, and sophomore Emily Critch (Halifax, Mass.).  Junior Erin Tyrrell (Milford, N.H.) added a sacrifice fly.  She also homered in the fifth inning, as did freshman Chloe Griffin (Scarborough, Maine).

Sophomore Olivia Strasser (Rutland, Mass.) improved to 2-0 with her second complete-game victory, allowing six hits and striking out two batters.
