GOFFSTOWN, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire men's tennis team defeated the College of Holy Cross Sunday evening by a score of 6-3 to improve its record to 6-0, while the Crusaders fall to 0-1 on the season.
The Penmen prevailed in every match but three including the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 singles players. Mitch Dobek (Westfield, Mass.) defeated Nick Berrettini in the No. 1 spot by a score of 6-4, 6-1, while Juan Arango-Campo (Armenia Quindio, Colombia), and Mike Wallace (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) each recorded wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 singles positions.
In doubles play, the Penmen blanked the Crusaders as the duo of Dobek and Wallace led the way while defeating Berrettini and Ryan Sullivan 8-3 at the No. 1 position.
The Penmen return to action Friday, March 1 when they travel to the District of Columbia for a non-conference match at 9:00 a.m.
