GOFFSTOWN, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team closed out the 2009-10 season with a 6-3 win over Franklin Pierce University at the Goffstown YMCA Saturday afternoon.  The Penmen, who won three of their final four matches, finish the campaign 3-10 and 3-8 in the Northeast-10, while Franklin Pierce is 1-9 overall and in the league.

The Penmen swept doubles play, with Tim Hamilton (Hampton, N.H.) and Jared Wright (Norwell, Mass.) posting a 8-5 win at No. 1.  John Niland (Cheshire, Conn.) and MingYang Chuo were 8-0 winners at No. 2, while Brendan Hussey (Barnstead, N.H.) and Cory Lefort (Cumberland, R.I.) were 8-1 winners at No. 3.

Niland, Hussey and Lefort were also victorious in singles play, with Niland registering a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3.  Hussey was a 6-0, 6-3 winner at No. 5, while Lefort posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 6.
