WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO
BENTLEY IN DOUBLE OVERTIME

WALTHAM, Mass. - Bridget O'Malley notched two goals,
including the game-winner with 1:14 left in the second overtime
period, as host Bentley College posted a 2-1 double overtime
Northeast-10 women's soccer victory over Southern New Hampshire
University Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons improve to 8-7-2
overall and 5-5-2 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are now 6-10-1 and
4-8 in the league.
O'Malley, who had gotten the hosts
on the board in the 48th minute, scored the game-winner at the
108:46 mark. She took a pass from Ashley Reynolds, who also
assisted on O'Malley's first goal, and beat two Penmen defenders to
score the goal, her fourth of the season.
After O'Malley's goal at the 47:39
mark, the Penmen tied the score in the 78th minute. Cary
Rivett (Uxbridge, MA) scored her first goal of the season at
the 77:17 mark after she took a pass from Laurie
Boland (Worcester, MA).
Kara Smith made nine saves for
Bentley as Southern New Hampshire outshot Bentley 24-11, including
a 6-2 advantage in overtime. Stef Young
(Natick, MA) made three saves for the Penmen.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Saturday when it hosts Le Moyne College in a 1:00 contest at
Larkin Field.
