Women's Tennis Records 5-2 Victory Over Franklin Pierce

Freshmen Magdalena Hubickova (Prague, Czech Republic) and Isabella Andrade (Cochabama, Bolivia), as well as sophomore Elizabeth Dwyer (Cutchogue, N.Y.), each came away victorious in both of their matches to lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team to a 5-2 victory over Franklin Pierce University on Saturday at the Penmen Stadium Tennis Courts.

  • Hubickova outlasted Himani Mor, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) at No. 1 singles and also combined with sophomore Alexxa Etienne (Bayamon, Puerto Rico), for a 6-2 No. 1 doubles triumph against Mor and Liria Loria.
  • Andrade took down Jazmin Flood, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 5 singles, while Dwyer toppled Brigid Washburn, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 6. Andrade and Dwyer teammed up for a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles against Washburn and Jillian Pagliuca.
  • Hubickova and Andrade remain undefeated at 5-0 in dual-match action, thus far.
  • The Penmen return to action Sunday, Sept. 29 (1 p.m.) when they take on Post University
  • The next home match for SNHU is Tuesday, Oct. 1 (3 p.m.) when it plays host to Assumption College at the Penmen Stadium Tennis Courts.
