Patterson Garners D2CCA East All-Region First Team Honors


FLUSHING, N.Y. – Junior Allyson Patterson (Seekonk, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team was selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) East All-Region First Team on Tuesday.

Patterson adds to her list of accolades, which so far include Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team and CoSIDA Academic All-District. Patterson, the Oct. 21 NE10 Player of the Week, has started 16 of 17 contests and racked up 25 points on 10 goals and five assists. The team-leader in goals and points, Patterson has registered at least one point in 13 matches this season, including nine straight from Sept. 18-Oct. 19. Patterson iranks fourth in the league in both goal and points, and tied for eighth in assists. 

The 10-6-1 Penmen, who earned the No. 5 seed in the Northeast-10 Championship, but bowed out in the first round, have received their third straight NCAA Championship berth. Seventh-seeded SNHU will travel to take on second-seeded and 24th-ranked Mercy College on Friday (1 p.m.).
