MANCHESTER, N.H. - Following its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance last season after bowing out in the semifinal round of the Northeast-10 Championship, the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team will be looking for its second conference crown in three years. The 2019 schedule should prepare them to do just that, with five NCAA tourney teams from a year ago dotting the schedule. The Penmen will open up with back-to-back matches against two of those teams, with Mercy College (Sept. 6) and defending the National Champion University of Bridgeport (Sept. 8) invading Penmen Stadium to kick off the year.
"We are excited for the 2019 schedule that we have put together," said head coach Elie Monteiro. "It is important to challenge ourselves with the selection of opponenents that we compete against and this year is no different. Our non-conference lineup, along with what is always a demanding NE10 schedule, will prepare us for where we hope to be at the end of the season."
