Duggan started the scoring just 31 seconds in as her free-position tally set the tone. Junior Kennedy Daziel (E. Hampstead, N.H.) followed 59 seconds later to stake Southern New Hampshire to a 2-0 lead, but Assumption scored three of the next four goals to tie the game, 3-3, with 18:44 remaining in the first half.
After Duggan snapped the tie at 17:21, the Greyhounds reeled off four straight to grab a 7-4 advantage with 12:02 to play. The score was 8-5 with less than five minutes to go when the Penmen closed the half with six straight goals, including three in the final 59 seconds, to take an 11-8 lead into the break. Duggan scored three times during the stretch, including twice in the final 31 seconds.
Sophomore Kristin Wilder (Framingham, Mass.) opened the second-half scoring just 40 seconds in to expand the lead to four at 12-8. Assumption would net three of the next four tallies to close to within a pair, but Felt scored twice and freshman Merry Harrington (Peabody, Mass.) also found the back of the net to expand the lead to 16-11 with 12:55 remaining.
Assumption scored three times to again make it a two-goal game, but Daziel hit a wide open net before Harrington scored again as time expired to add an exclamation point to the victory.
