Marshall Named NE10 Goalie Of The Week


MANSFIELD, Mass. – Freshman Alec Marshall (Nashua, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University ice hockey team was recognized Tuesday by the Northeast-10 Conference as the Goalie of the Week. 

Marshall started both games for SNHU against Post University over the weekend.  On Friday, he recorded the first shutout of the season for the team, in just his second career start.  The Penmen won that game 6-0, with Marshall stopping 24 shots.  Post edged SNHU in Saturday's contest 3-2, scoring two power-play goals.

The Penmen (10-7-4; 5-3-3 NE10) return to the ice at Stonehill College (6-13-1; 1-9-1 NE10) on Friday at 7:20 p.m.  SNHU will also play at Stonehill on Saturday afternoon at 5:10 p.m..  The last home contest of the regular season at The Ice Den is Friday, February 15 against Saint Anselm College at 7:10 p.m.
