Toy Donation Drive, Teddy Bear Toss Highlight Weekend Promotions at SNHU

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Southern New Hampshire University men's and women's basketball teams, and men's ice hockey team have holiday-themed events planned for games on Saturday (Dec. 7). A toy donation drive is planned for basketball, while the first-ever Teddy Bear Toss will highlight action at The Ice Den on Saturday night.

Toy Donation Drive

Fans can bring a new, unwrapped toy to the basketball games at the Stan Spirou Field House. The toys will be collected and donated to children in need from Manchester's Webster Elementary School. The SNHU women's basketball team will kick off the action with a 1:30 p.m. contest against the New York Institute of Technology, while the men follow with a contest against Queens (N.Y.) College at 3:30 p.m.

Teddy Bear Toss

The SNHU ice hockey team is home at The Ice Den in Hooksett, N.H., for a 7:20 p.m. tilt on Saturday against Assumption College. Fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear or similar stuffed animal, and when the Penmen score their first goal, we will have a Teddy Bear Toss! Fans will throw the bears on to the ice, with all that are collected donated to the Manchester Police Athletic League and Jamie's Joy. Teddy Bears will also be available for purchase at the entrance to The Ice Den for $5.
