Female Athlete of the Week: Dorthea Glorud - Women's Soccer - So., F
Dorthea Glorud (Brumunddal, Norway) recorded five points on a goal and three assists, as the Penmen went 2-0 to begin the season for the first time since 2015. Glorud dished an assist in Friday's 4-2 doubling-up of Mercy College and then assisted on the first two SNHU goals, before scoring the third, in a 5-3 victory over the defending National Champion and second-ranked University of Bridgeport on Sunday. Glorud was crowned the Northeast-10 Player of the Week on Monday.

Male Athlete of the Week: Michael Moreno - Men's Cross Country - Sr.
Michael Moreno (Houston, Texas) captured the Shacklette Invitational title with a time of 26:41.63, leading the Penmen team to a first-place finish, as well, Saturday for the second consecutive season. 

Women's Soccer (2-0-0, 0-0-0 NE10)

Notes:
- The Penmen, ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches Division II Poll, won both their games last week to begin the season 2-0 for the first time since 2015.
- Sophomore Dorthea Glorud (Brumunddal, Norway) recorded five points on a goal and three assists. Glorud dished an assist in Friday's 4-2 doubling-up of Mercy and then assisted on the first two SNHU goals, before scoring the third, in a 5-3 victory over defending National Champion and second-ranked Bridgeport on Sunday. Glorud was crowned the Northeast-10 Player of the Week on Monday.
- Fellow sophomore Sydney Carney (Northborough, Mass.) also notched five points on a goal and three assists. Carney handed out an assist againstr Mercy and then assisted on the third and fourth SNHU goals, before scoring the fifth, in the Bridgeport victory.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Rose (Waterloo, Ontario) went 2-0 to open the season, as she stopped 16 of the 21 shots she faced for a .762 save percentage. Rose made two stops in the win over Mercy, before piling up a career-high 14 saves versus Bridgeport.
- Freshman Jordan Butters (Beverly, Mass.) burst onto the scene in the Mercy triumph, as she bookended SNHU's four unanswered goals in the victory.
- Senior Alexis Fruzzetti (Hanson, Mass.) and junior Allyson Patterson (Seekonk, Mass.) both scored a goal in each of the victories.

Men's Soccer (1-0-0, 0-0-0 NE10)

Notes:
- Men's soccer began the season 1-0 with a 2-0 blanking of Queens (N.Y.) on Thursday.
- Senior Michael Goncalves (Ludlow, Mass.) recorded a goal and an assist, as he snapped a scoreless tie in the 55th minute and then set up the clincher in the 82nd.
- Graduate student Alex Satrustegui (Pamplona, Spain) picked up where he left off last season with a goal in the 82nd minute.
- Senior Brian Murray (Camas, Wash.) turned away all four shots he faced to post his first shutout with the Penmen.

Women's Volleyball (2-0, 0-0 NE10)

Notes:
- Volleyball swept to a pair of tri-match wins Saturday, blanking both Merrimack and Saint Michael's in three sets.
- Senior Jaclyn Maguire (Rochester, N.Y.) racked up 19 kills in the two matches, including 11 to go with five digs against Merrimack.
- Senior Irem Bat (Istanbul, Turkey) posted 15 kills and 24 digs, as she recorded a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs versus Saint Michael's.
- Senior Baylee Lippincott (Phoenix, Ariz.) registered 13 kills and six blocks in the two matches.

Field Hockey (1-1, 0-0 NE10)

Notes:
- Field hockey began the season 1-1, bouncing back after a heart-breaking double-overtime loss to a top-10 ranked team.
- Senior Laura van der Doorn (Beverwijk, The Netherlands) racked up four goals and an assist in the opening two games, as she scored both goals in Friday's 3-2 double-OT loss at 10th-ranked Limestone and then produced two more goals and a helper to key the 8-0 white-washing of Converse on Sunday. The four goals gave her 23 for her career, tying the program's all-time record. van der Doorn claimed Northeast-10 Player of the Week honors Tuesday.
- Freshman Kirsten Hagel (Driehuis, The Netherlands) registered a goal and two assists on the week, as she set up one of van der Doorn's strikes against Limestone, before adding a goal and an assist of her own versus Converse.
- Graduate student Melanie Rennie (Madison, Conn.) made four saves in the loss to Limestone and then stopped the only shot that came her way in the opening half versus Converse. Junior Kate Pigsley (East Kingston, N.H.) closed out the contest without facing a shot over the final 30 minutes of action.

Notes:
- The Penmen competed at the Shacklette Invitational on Saturday, with both the men and women taking home team titles.
- The women won the race for the first time ever, with sophomore Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) breezing to a new personal best of 19:01.24 for the 5k to win the race. She was named the Northeast-10 Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
- Senior Michael Moreno (Houston, Texas) paced the men, as he finished first with a time of 26:41.63. The Penmen, who claimed the top six spots in the race, won the Shacklette for the second consecutive season. 

Women's Golf

- The Penmen finished second at the Saint Rose Fall Invitational on Sunday and Monday at the Western Turnpike Golf Club in Guilderland, N.Y.
- Sophomore Hannah May (Phoenix, Ariz.) shot back-to-back 79s to finish as the runner-up, just two strokes back of the winner.

Notes:
- The Penmen placed second at the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational on Sunday and Monday at Keene (N.H.) Country Club.
- In his first collegiate tournament, freshman Jared Mscisz (Danvers, Mass.) carded a 1-over 45 to tie for third, beginning the tourney with a 73 in the opening round, before firing an even-par 72 to close it out.
