Notes: The Penmen will carry a streak of 11 straight appearances in the NE10 Championship semifinals into the season, but will be looking for a berth into the league final for the first time since 2013 ... last year, SNHU finished 11-6, including 9-3 in conference play to place third ... the team will replace half its starting lineup with talented newcomers, but also has its top two players back from a year ago in seniors Anna Sala (Matadepera, Spain) and Sofia Morais (Porto, Portugal), while fellow senior starter Rachel Wagner (Framingham, Mass.) also returns ... the Penmen were tabbed third in the NE10 Preseason Coaches' Poll earlier this month ... SNHU opens the season Saturday, Sept. 1 (11 a.m.) when it plays host to the New York Institute of Technology at the SNHU Tennis Courts at Penmen Stadium.
