Andrews Honored with NABC East All-District Second Team Accolade

Andrews named NABC East All-District Second Team


KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Senior Daquaise Andrews (Queens, N.Y.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team was selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches East All-District Second Team on Monday.

Andrews adds to his list of postseason honors, which include Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Second Team and Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team. Andrews, a two-time NE10 Player of the Week recipient this season, averaged 21.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.3 steals per contest, while shooting 41.9 percent from the floor and 70.6 percent from the stripe. Andrews, who started all 26 games, ranked third in the league in scoring, fourth in free throws made (125) and steals, sixth in assists and field goals made (192), and 16th in rebounding. In the East Region, he placed fifth in scoring, eighth in free throws made, 11th in assists and 12th in field goals made.

Andrews notched double-digit scoring numbers in 24 of 26 contests, reaching 20 points on 16 occasions and 30 points five times, including a career-best 37 points on a win over Post University on Nov. 25. Andrews also recorded six double-doubles, including Dec. 5 against Bentley University when he dished a career-high 11 assists.

Andrews finished his career 12th on the program's all-time scoring list with 1,653 points.
