Volleyball's Coffey Earns Northeast-10 All-Conference Honors


SOUTH EASTON, Mass.—Senior Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference Third Team, as voted on by the league's 16 head coaches.  It marks the second time in her career that Coffey has been honored by the league, as she was named to the Northeast-10 All-Rookie team in her freshman year.

Coffey, a middle hitter, totaled 222 kills and 120 blocks in her final season with the Penmen, including a league-leading 55 solo blocks.  She led the Northeast-10 Conference in total blocks and in the blocks-per-set category with 1.33.  Additionally, Coffey ended senior season ranked eighth in all of Division II with her 1.33 blocks-per-set average. 

Coffey's 120 season blocks rank her first on the Penmen's all-time single-season high leader board.  In addition, she holds the school record in career blocks with 372 and ranks 10th in program history in career kills with 572.
