RINDGE, N.H.—The Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday evening. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 3-6 overall and 1-2 in NE-10 action, while the win boosts the Ravens to 6-7 overall and 1-2 in league play.
Game scores were 25-19, 25-13, and 25-22.
Erica Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) led the Penmen offensively with eight kills. Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) added six kills while also contributing six blocks for the Penmen defense. Peyton Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) posted a match-high 20 digs, while Kendra Mikuta (Orland Park, Ill.) dished out a team-best 15 assists.
Catie Swiderski led the Ravens with 12 kills, while Katie Jackson and Natasha Ray both added eight kills apiece. Stephanie Svorinic dished out a match-high 33 assists, and Lauren Miller posted 19 digs.
The Ravens hit at .175 percent while holding the Penmen to a kill percentage of .051.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Saturday, October 1 when it hosts Southern Connecticut State University at 1:00 p.m. in the SNHU Fieldhouse.
