Volleyball Falls in Home Finale
MANCHESTER, N.H. - UMass Lowell posted a 3-0 Northeast-10 volleyball victory over Southern New Hampshire University at the SNHU Fieldhouse Tuesday night. The River Hawks improved to 18-9 overall and 10-4 in the NE-10, while the Penmen now stand 9-13 and 3-10 in the league.
The set scores were 25-16, 25-15, 25-23.
Sarah Coscia led the River Hawks with 16 kills while hitting .444. Nichole Rondeau totaled 23 assists and 15 digs for UMass Lowell, while Elsa LeGrand notched four block assists and five total blocks.
Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) and Kim Rowe (Exeter, N.H.) each notched seven kills to lead SNHU, while Coffey also totaled six blocks (four solo). Caitlin Wilson (Milton, N.H.) had a team-high nine digs, while Lauren Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) handed out 19 assists.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Friday when it travels to Pace for a 7:00 contest.
