Women’s Tennis Helps Raise Money for Jimmy Fund Walk

MANCHESTER, N.H. – For the third straight year, the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team volunteered its time to help a team raise money for the Jimmy Fund Walk and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in a fundraiser held at Hampton Beach's Victoria Inn on Aug. 23.

The women's tennis squad greeted guests, helped serve food, cleaned tables and worked raffle tables to give away prizes. The Jimmy Fund Walk team that held the fundraiser – the J Walkers – have raised more than $25,000 for this year's walk, which will be held Sept. 23. Proceeds go to both the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The Penmen return to action Sept. 14-16 at the ITA East Regional Championships. The next home match for SNHU is Tuesday, Sept. 18 (3 p.m.) when it plays host to Bentley University in NE10 action.
