    MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department featured 240 of its student-athletes, representing all 19 programs, on the Northeast-10 Spring 2017 Commissioner’s Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday morning.

    TEMPE, Ariz. – Graduate student Abla Chadli (Rabat, Morocco) of the Southern New Hampshire University women’s tennis team was chosen as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Region Senior Player of the Year, while the team earned the ITA Community Service Award for the region when the ITA announced its national and regional awards Monday at the NCAA Division II Tennis Championships in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

  • Women’s Tennis Knocked Out of NCAA Tourney with 5-1 Loss to Goldey-Beacom

    Junior Lindsay Baum (N. Salem, N.Y.) was victorious at No. 6 singles, but the sixth-seeded Southern New Hampshire University women’s tennis team saw its season draw to a close Monday with a 5-1 loss to third-seeded Goldey-Beacom College in an NCAA Tournament first round match at the Queens (N.Y.) College Tennis Center.
  • Women’s Tennis Earns Sixth NCAA Tournament Berth; First Since 2013

    INDIANAPOLIS – The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team has earned an at-large bid and the No. 6 seed in NCAA East Regional and will take on third-seeded Goldey-Beacom College in the NCAA East Regional No. 2 on Monday, May 1, the NCAA Selection Committee announced Tuesday night.

    BEDFORD, N.H. – Senior Devin Gilligan (Amherst, N.H.) and graduate student Abla Chadli (Rabat, Morocco) took home male and female Athlete of the Year honors, respectively, to highlight nine major awards that were given out Monday night as the Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics & Recreation celebrated the 2016-17 season and recognized its seniors at the 52nd Annual Athletic Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Manchester Country Club.

    Sophomore Sofia Morais (Porto, Portugal) won both of her matches, including a marathon at No. 2 singles, to help the Southern New Hampshire University women’s tennis team close out its regular season with a 6-3 win against Babson College on Saturday afternoon at the Farwell Tennis Courts.

Salem, N.Y.) and sophomore Rachel Wagner (Framingham, Mass.) were victorious in their No. 3 singles, match, but the Southern New Hampshire University women’s tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to fifth-ranked Hawaii Pacific University on Monday at Central Oahu Regional Park.

    The Southern New Hampshire University women’s tennis team lost just four games the entire match as it recorded the first win of its Hawaii trip by recording a 9-0 victory against Chaminade University on Friday at Brigham Young University-Hawaii’s Tennis Courts.

    Sophomore Anna Sala (Matadepera, Spain) won the only game of singles for the Penmen as the Southern New Hampshire University women’s tennis team was defeated, 9-0, by second-ranked Brigham Young University-Hawaii on Wednesday at the BYUH Tennis Courts.

    Graduate student Abla Chadli (Rabat, Morocco), sophomore Anna Sala (Matadepera, Spain) and junior Lindsay Baum (N. Salem, N.Y.) each won their two matches as the Southern New Hampshire University women’s tennis team kicked off the spring portion of its schedule with an 8-1 win against Emerson College on Saturday night at the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department announced Friday that its 372 student-athletes posted a department-wide grade-point average of 3.34 in the fall semester, setting a new school mark and extending a streak of consecutive semesters of a department GPA of 3.0 or better to nine.

  • SNHU Announces New State-of-the-Art Athletic Facility Set to Open Fall 2017

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire University broke ground over the summer on a brand new $25-million multi-sport stadium for the Department of Athletics that will be home to men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s tennis, and women’s track & field. The facility, which will also host select field hockey home games, is expected to open in the Fall of 2017.
