Mongeau, King Honored by NE-10 Women's Lacrosse Coaches
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Senior Emily Mongeau (Westborough, Mass.) and freshman Emily King (Florence, Mass.) were honored by the Northeast-10 Conference as it released its All-Conference teams Thursday morning. Mongeau was named to the league's First Team for the second straight year, while King was honored as a member of the All-Rookie Team.
Mongeau, who served as a team co-captain in 2012, led the Penmen in virtually every statistical category. Starting all 14 games in which she appeared, Mongeau totaled 48 goals and 21 assists for 69 points while also leading Southern New Hampshire in draw controls (83), ground balls (53) and caused turnovers (32). She wrapped up her decorated SNHU career as the program's all-time leader in goals, points, draw controls, and caused turnovers.
King had an immediate impact in her first season at Southern New Hampshire, finishing fourth on the team with 19 goals while totaling 21 points. She appeared in all 15 games, starting 11, and the Northampton HS product scored three goals on three occasions, including in victories over Southern Connecticut State and American International.
