Women's Lacrosse Takes on Yellow Jackets Saturday

THE MATCHUP: Southern New Hampshire plays its first of two home games to close out the 2012 season when it hosts American International Saturday afternoon.

THE COACHES: Kate Mullen is in her third season at SNHU...Mullen guided the Penmen to their sixth straight Northeast-10 tournament appearance last season...prior to arriving at SNHU she guided Endicott to three straight NCAA tournament berths...she owns a career record of 66-41...April Pollock is in her fifth season at AIC...Pollock guided the Yellow Jackets to a school-record eight victories in 2010 and played collegiately at Connecticut.

THE SERIES:SNHU holds a 6-2 lead in the all-time series with American International and has captured the last six meetings...last season the Penmen posted an 18-8 win in Springfield behind four goals from Jade Antonangeli...SNHU jumped out to a 15-2 halftime lead.

THE PENMEN: Southern New Hampshire is coming off a 16-8 setback to No. 1 Le Moyne on Friday...the Penmen held an early 4-0 lead...10 of SNHU's 13 games have been against nationally-ranked squads...the Penmen are led by Emily Mongeau, who has totaled 39 goals and 14 assists...she became the program's all-time leader in career goals recently against Merrimack...Ellie Morin has recorded 32 goals and 10 assists while Phoebe Clark has notched 20 goals and seven assists, ...Jade Antonangeli has eight assists to go along with nine goals, while freshman Emily King has tallied 14 goals and a pair of assists...freshman Kellie Renk has started all 13 games in goal and has registered 120 saves.

THE YELLOW JACKETS: American International is coming off a 17-5 loss to Assumption Wednesday night...Courtney Szawlowski leads the Yellow Jackets with 33 goals and 21 assists for 54 points, while sister Ashleigh Szawlowski has totaled 26 goals and 19 assists...a third sister, Bridget Szawlowski, has contributed 20 goals and an assist...Whitney McKay has totaled six goals and 13 assists, while Alex Hudyka has added seven goals and four assists...Nicole Sawula has started all 13 games in goal for the Yellow Jackets and made 224 saves.

WHAT'S NEXT: Southern New Hampshire wraps up its season Tuesday night when it hosts Saint Michael's...prior to the game, Penmen seniors Jade Antonangeli, Kelly Curran, Sara Halbich and Emily Mongeau will be honored.
