Women's Lacrosse Entertains In-State Rival Franklin Pierce Tuesday Night

THE MATCHUP: Southern New Hampshire entertains in-state rival Franklin Pierce Tuesday night.

THE COACHES: Kate Mullen is in her third season at SNHU...Mullen guided the Penmen to their sixth straight Northeast-10 tournament appearance last season...prior to arriving at SNHU she guided Endicott to three straight NCAA tournament berths...she owns a career record of 65-39...Meghan Guiney is in her sixth season as women's lacrosse coach at Franklin Pierce...also the Ravens' field hockey coach, she guided FPU to a NE-10 Tournament berth in women's lacrosse in 2009...prior to arriving in Rindge she spent three seasons at Worcester State.

THE SERIES:SNHU owns an 8-1 lead in the all-time series with Franklin Pierce and has captured the last eight meetings...in 2011 the Penmen posted a 15-12 win in Rindge behind three goals and an assist apiece from Emily Mongeau and Phoebe Clark...Courtney Weber paced Franklin Pierce with four goals.

THE PENMEN: Southern New Hampshire is coming off a 16-8 setback to No. 1 Le Moyne on Friday...the Penmen held an early 4-0 lead...eight of SNHU's 10 games have been against nationally-ranked squads...the Penmen are led by Emily Mongeau, who has totaled 33 goals and 10 assists...she became the program's all-time leader in career goals last week against Merrimack...Ellie Morin has recorded 20 goals and five assists while Phoebe Clark has notched 18 goals and six assists, ...Jade Antonangeli has eight assists to go along with six goals, while freshman Emily King has tallied 12 goals and an assist...freshman Kellie Renk has started all 10 games in goal and has registered 87 saves.

THE RAVENS: Franklin Pierce has been idle since last Wednesday when it fell 19-5 at home to sixth-ranked Stonehill...the Ravens are led by Courtney Weber, who has totaled 22 goals and 13 assists for 35 points, while Ashley Lamagdelein has recorded 21 goals and three assists...Mary Kate Stille and Madeline Shopshire have notched nine goals and nine assists apiece, while Brianna Nash has 13 goals and four assists for 17 points...Jillian Bolduc has seen the majority of action in goal for Franklin Pierce and owns an 11.35 goals-against average and .463 save percentage.

WHAT'S NEXT: Southern New Hampshire travels to New Haven Saturday and Stonehill next Wednesday before hosting American International next Saturday.
