SORA, ITALY – Rising sophomore Kylie Lorenzen (Holliston, Mass.) scored a game-high 17 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team to a 90-55 victory over N.B. Sora on Wednesday night. The Penmen close out their European tour with wins in two of their three contests.

Lorenzen led three Southern New Hampshire student-athletes in double figures on Wednesday. Incoming freshman Molly Terry (Shrewsbury, Mass.) tallied 11 points while rising sophomore Aaliyah Paxton (Hainesport, N.J.) chipped in with 10 points and five boards. Terry connected on a trio of three pointers as the Penmen sunk seven attempts from deep.

N.B. Sora opened the game on a 9-2 run in the first two minutes of play before Southern New Hampshire stormed back in the opening quarter. The Penmen grabbed their first lead of the evening on back-to-back baskets by Lorenzen, the second a three-point play, to take a 14-12 edge with 4:30 left in the stanza. SNHU closed the first on a 25-7 run and carried a 27-16 advantage into the second.

The lead swelled to 42-27 at the half, as Lorenzen led the way with 10 points, rising sophomore Brianna Camara (Fall River, Mass.) poured in seven during the first two quarters and Paxton had five. The Penmen put the game out of reach in the third, as they outscored the hosts 18-9 to build a 60-36 edge through three. The onslaught continued in the fourth with Southern New Hampshire pouring in an additional 30 points to N.B. Sora's 19 to provide the 90-55 final.

Prior to Wednesday's contest, the Penmen hosted a youth clinic for local basketball players and worked with nearly 20 kids from the Sora community. SNHU will remain in Italy until Friday when it returns home after a 10-day trip to Europe.
