After a fun night exploring and site seeing in Italy and a restful night's sleep, the team woke up for a nice breakfast at the hotel. After getting ready, we were off to the metro to head towards the Vatican. We all had to be in appropriate dress wear, since no clothes exposing shoulders or cut above the knee are permitted inside the smallest country in the world.

We started the tour in a museum showing various paintings and statues from the past. The artwork and architecture on our way to the Sistine Chapel was so beautiful, filled with bright colors and gold accents. It was hard to look down a second, not wanting to miss out on what the ornate ceilings would bring next. After an amazing walk through the hallways leading to the chapel, we finally reached the inside.

The chapel was almost silent, with only the sound of some muffled whispers. The room was filled with observers taking in the unreal walls and ceilings filled with some of the best murals in the world. Sadly, no picture taking is allowed in the Sistine Chapel, but taking in the view was something none of us will ever forget. Next stop was to the St. Peter's Basilica, which contained even more amazing artwork. The team got to see famous pieces of ancient art such as the Pietá by Michelangelo and many works by Bernini such as The Altar and Cathedra Petri. Everyone on the team agreed the Basilica was bigger than any of us could've ever imagined. After some additional site seeing, it was off to do what we all do best: eat and shop. People searched for souvenirs, gifts and keepsakes to remember our unbelievable trip. The day wrapped up with dinner and gelato near the hotel where everyone feasted on delicious pizzas and pastas. After a quick stop for some gelato dessert, we arrived back at the hotel, ready for a good night's sleep before Wednesday's clinic and final game of our Europe Tour.
