Notes: The Panthers begin their title defense Friday after earning a double-bye as the Southwest Division's top seed. Adelphi earned a split of the regular season divisional crown with Pace University but grabbed the top spot and right to host the NE10 Championship after taking two of three from the Setters during the regular season. The Panthers have been led this season by senior Brenna Martini (Fairfield, Conn.), who recently earned her third consecutive Northeast-10 Player of the Year honor. Martini leads the league in home runs, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, total bases and walks while sitting third in RBI and fifth in batting average. Freshman Ally Muller (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) has seen the majority of action in the circle for Adelphi, and she owns an 11-7 record to go along with a 3.38 ERA in 105.2 innings of work. Muller has fanned 88 batters thus far in 2018 but has issued 56 free passes and been touched up for 88 hits over that stretch.
