  • Now Available: 2017-18 SNHU Athletics Year in Review

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics and Recreation has released its annual Year in Review, highlighting the successes enjoyed by its 20 varsity teams in the 2017-18 academic year.  The 36-page report highlights the Penmen's success in competition, the classroom and the community.
  • Penmen Pride Show Set to Air July 21 in First of 18 National, Regional Broadcasts

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics will be featured on the “Penmen Pride” Show, which will cover Penmen Stadium and the teams that call it home, and will air 18 times on three national and regional networks, beginning July 21. The show, which was produced by Cod Rock Media, will be available in 50 million homes.
  • Fernandes Highlights Six Penmen NE10 Academic All-Conference Selections

    MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Tiago Fernandes (Porto, Portugal) of the Southern New Hampshire University men’s tennis team captured Northeast-10 Sport Excellence Award honors and was also one of six Penmen to receive NE10 Academic All-Conference recognition, as the conference office announced its spring academic honors Wednesday.
  • NEW DATE: Softball Moving Elite Skills Clinic to August 7th

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The 2018 Southern New Hampshire University, Saint Anselm College, Bentley University and Merrimack College Elite Softball Skills ID Clinic, originally scheduled for Tuesday, July 17 at the SNHU Softball Field, will now move to August 7, due to expected inclement weather. Times of the sessions within the clinic will remain the same.
  • SNHU Places 242 Student-Athletes on NE10 Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll

    MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department placed 242 of its student-athletes, representing all 19 programs, on the Northeast-10 Spring 2018 Commissioner's Honor Roll, the league office announced Tuesday morning.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire University Associate Director of Athletics Tom Wilkins and Head Women’s Basketball Coach Karen Pinkos presented a check for Catholic Medical Center’s Breast Care Center to CMC’s Vice President of Philanthropy Jennifer Higgins Pitre on Thursday for the money raised through Penmen Pink Day initiatives throughout the 2017-18 season.

    CLEVELAND – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department finished 79th in the final release of the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings Thursday, as it totaled 267.00 points for its fifth best finish ever.

  • Lavallee Closes Career with D2CCA All-East Region Selection

    Sarah Lavallee of the Southern New Hampshire University softball team was named to the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Second Team on Monday, as the organization announced its All-Region teams and major award winners. Lavallee was named the Second Team designated player.
  • Softball Falls Twice Friday, Closes Season in NCAA East Regional

    Katie Horiuchi connected on a pair of doubles, Sarah Lavallee belted a two-run homer, and Brittany Perdigao tripled and scored a run, but the Southern New Hampshire University softball team saw its 2018 season come to a close Friday after a pair of losses in the NCAA East 2 Regional. The Penmen dropped their opener to Saint Anselm College, 3-1, before falling in a back-and-forth affair in extra innings to Merrimack College, 4-3.

    Sarah Lavallee crushed a solo homer and allowed just one earned run over six innings, and third-seeded Southern New Hampshire University plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally past sixth-seeded Pace University in walk off fashion, 3-2, in the opening round of the NCAA East 2 Regional on Thursday.

    Maddy Barone of the Southern New Hampshire University softball team was named to the 2018 Google Cloud NCAA Division II Academic All-District Team Thursday, as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Barone landed a spot on the NCAA Division II District 1 Team.
  • Sarah Lavallee Named NFCA First Team All-Region

    Sarah Lavallee of the Southern New Hampshire University softball team was named First Team All-Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFPCA), as the organization announced its Division II All-Region teams Wednesday. Lavallee was selected as the First Team utility-pitcher in the east region.

    The Southern New Hampshire University softball team earned the No. 3 seed and will travel across town to Saint Anselm College for opening weekend action in the 2018 NCAA East 2 Regional, as the NCAA announced the 2018 National Tournament field. The Penmen (37-12) open up regional play against sixth-seeded Pace University (27-20) Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

    Erin Garczynski turned in a 2-for-3 performance with a walk and a run scored, but the Southern New Hampshire University softball team fell to Adelphi University in the Northeast-10 Championship semifinals, 5-4, in eight innings on Friday.

    Sarah Lavallee connected on her 12th home run of the season to provide all the offense in Saturday’s regular season finale, and the Southern New Hampshire University softball team set a new program record for wins in a season after topping Assumption College, 1-0. The Penmen split a twinbill after falling in game one, 6-5, in what was a continuation of Friday’s second game.

    Sarah Lavallee set the Southern New Hampshire University softball all-time home run record on Friday with her 36th career long ball, as the Penmen rolled to a 9-0 victory over Assumption College in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division action at Marois Field.
  • Changes Made to Softball’s Final Series of Regular-Season at Assumption

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University softball team’s final regular-season series at Assumption College, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28, has been re-shuffled. Friday will now feature a doubleheader that begins at noon, with Saturday’s single game starting at 2 p.m.

    BEDFORD, N.H. – Seniors Chris Walters (Stamford, Conn.) and Rianna Fasanello (E. Bridgewater, Mass.) received male and female Athlete of the Year honors, respectively, to highlight nine major awards that were handed out Monday night as the Southern New Hampshire University Department of Athletics & Recreation celebrated the 2017-18 season and recognized its seniors at the 53rd Annual Athletic Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Manchester Country Club.
