Men's Cross Country Competes at New England Championships

BOSTON - The Southern New Hampshire University men’s cross country team placed 49th at Saturday’s New England Championships at Franklin Park.

 

Freshman Garret Hammond (Haverhill, M.A.) was the top SNHU finisher, completing the 4.95 mile course in a time of 29:28. Jason Bays (Cresco, Pa.) registered a 29:52 effort, while Doug Coulters (Weare, N.H.) recorded a time of 31:45 and Kevin Coyle (Salem, N.H.) traversed the course just three behind Coulters. 

 

Tom Philips (Madison, Conn.) finished in 32:34, while Matt Gray (Haverhill, M.A.) rounded out the Penmen with a time of 38:19.

 

SNHU returns to action October 23 at the Northeast-10 Championship hosted by Westfield State University at 10:00 a.m.
