2011: Served as team captain…competed in all seven races…posted a career-best 28:43 8K time at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational (9/17)…one of three runners to compete at the NCAA East Regional...posted a 10K time of 38:49.

2010: Competed in all eight races on the season…posted a season-best 8K time of 29:50 at the NEICAAA Championship (10/9)…ran a time of 29:33 at the Golden Knights Joust’s five-mile course (10/22).

2009: Competed in seven events for the Penmen...led the Penmen runners with his  season-best 29:42.8 time at the Codfish Bowl (9/26).

2008: Competed in five events...posted a season-best time of 30:18 at the Northeast-10 Championship (10/25).

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: 2008 graduate of Pen Argyl HS where he lettered in cross country and baseball...helped the Green Knights to an appearance to a second place finish in the league met as a senior, qualifying for states...finished 10th in league meet as a junior with a 17:56 5K effort...team MVP and All-League outfielder in baseball...son of James and Deanna Bays...Business Administration major.
