    MANCHESTER, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire University is fourth in the Northeast-10 Presidents' Cup standings through the winter season, with the rankings being released by the conference office Wednesday.

    Graduate student Tiago Fernandes (Porto, Portugal), and freshmen Emmanuel Vacalares (Cagayan de Oro, Philippines) and Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) each won their singles match, but the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team was outlasted by 12th-ranked Palm Beach Atlantic University on Tuesday at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.

  • Men’s Tennis Trio Receives First National Ranking in Program History

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – Graduate student Tiago Fernandes (Porto, Portugal), and juniors Willem van Biezen (Sassenheim, Netherlands) and Bas van Biezen (Sassenheim, Netherlands) of the Southern New Hampshire University men’s tennis team became the program’s first individuals ever to be nationally ranked by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) last week.
  • SNHU Ranked 58th in Division II, as NCAA Releases Academic Success Rate Data

    INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released the latest Division II graduation rate data for the 2008-11 cohorts Thursday, including the division’s Academic Success Rate (ASR), which saw Southern New Hampshire place on the list of top 100 schools.

    Freshmen Emmanuel Vacalares (Cagayan de Oro, Philippines) and Fernando Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico), and graduate student Ricardo Marreiros (Portimao, Portugal) all captured a pair of matches, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team posted a 7-0 victory over crosstown-rival Saint Anselm College on Friday afternoon in its Northeast-10 opener at the South Athletic Field Tennis Courts.

    Graduate student Tiago Fernandes (Porto, Portugal), the two-time reigning Northeast-10 Player of the Year, picked up where he left off, as he won two matches to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men’s tennis team to a 7-0 victory against Roberts Wesleyan College on Sunday in its season opener at the Midtown Athletic Club.
  • Men’s Tennis Match Versus Post Suspended Due to Rain

    The Southern New Hampshire University men’s tennis team opened the season with its first dual match against Post University on Thursday at the SNHU Tennis Courts at Penmen Stadium, but a decision will likely have to wait until the spring.
