Satrustegui, Masset Earn D2CCA East All-Region First Team Honors

AMHERST, N.Y. – Junior Alex Satrustegui (Pamplona, Spain) and sophomore Louka Masset (Paris France) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team were selected to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) East All-Region First Team, it was announced Wednesday.

Satrustegui, who garnered Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team honors last month, registered 34 points on 15 goals and four assists, as he started all 17 matches for the 11-3-3 Penmen. He ranked second in the league in both goals and points, as well as fourth in game-winning tallies (4). Satrustegui found the back of the net in 13 different matches, including a season-high five straight from Oct. 7-Oct. 21.

Masset, who also joined Satrustegui on the NE10 First Team, started 14 of 15 matches he played in, scoring six goals for 12 points. Masset had a flair for the dramatic, as five of his six goals were either game winners or equalizers in the 70th minute or later. He also contributed to a back line that ranked fourth in the league in goals-against average (0.95) and goals allowed (17).
