National Champions to Be Honored Saturday at Men's Basketball Game

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The NCAA Division II national champion Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team will be honored at halftime of Saturday's (December 14) men's basketball game against Merrimack College at the SNHU Fieldhouse, which is scheduled for a 3:30 tipoff.  Players and coaches from the national championship squad will be introduced at center court and will appear with the national championship trophy.

Southern New Hampshire captured the second NCAA Division II national championship in the history of the program in 2013, finishing 22-1-1 overall and ending the season on a 23-game unbeaten streak.  The Penmen defeated Carson-Newman University 2-1 for the championship.

Fans are reminded that free admission is available for Saturday's Northeast-10 doubleheader by bringing either non-perishable food items for New Horizons for New Hampshire or a new unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.  The twinbill kicks off with the women's basketball contest against the Warriors at 1:30 pm.
