THE MATCHUP: Southern New Hampshire closes out the season Tuesday evening at Saint Michael's.

THE COACHES: Stan Spirou is in his 27th season as head coach at Southern New Hampshire...he owns a 522-278 (.653) career record in 26-plus seasons at the helm...Spirou was honored as the New England Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year four times (1993, 94, 95, 99) and has led the Penmen to 14 NCAA Tournaments, four NCAA Regional titles and fourteen 20 win seasons...Michael Harding is in his second season as head coach at Saint Michael's...a 2003 graduate of Bowdoin who played four years of basketball for the Polar Bears, Harding spent the previous five seasons as associate head coach at Stonehill.

THE SERIES:Southern New Hampshire holds a 25-10 advantage in the all-time series with Saint Michael' the first meeting this season the Purple Knights posted a 59-57 victory over the Penmen...Saint Michael's jumped out to a 15-2 lead and led 33-27 at halftime, but Southern New Hampshire rallied to take a lead late...Michael Holton, Jr. led the guests with 19 points and six rebounds, while Tyler Schilling finished with 12 points and eight boards...Elijah Bonsignore led the Penmen with 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots while Aleksandar Dobrovic and Tory Stapleton each added 10 points.

THE PENMEN: Southern New Hampshire dropped a 62-59 decision at Merrimack Saturday afternoon...Tory Stapleton leads the Penmen in scoring with his 11.5 ppg average, while also grabbing a team-best 6.6rebounds per game...Stapleton is shooting 50.2% from the field... freshman Elijah  Bonsignore is averaging 10.8 ppg and also has a team-best 52 blocked shots, including six earlier this season against Southern Connecticut...Bonsignore had a season-best 20 Saturday at Merrimack ...classmate Aleksandar Dobrovic is recording 10.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while leading the team in assists with 63...Dobrovic had 25 points in the Bentley win February 11 and was named Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week that Monday...B.J. Cardarelli has knocked down a team-high 36 three-pointers and is averaging 10.1 points and four rebounds per game, while Greg DeSantis is adding 7.9 points per contest...the Penmen are shooting .434 overall, .342 behind the arc and .693 at the free throw line while allowing opponents to shoot .446 overall and .370 behind the arc...the Penmen are scoring 67.3 points per game while allowing 67.8 and are outrebounding teams 35.0-34.5.

THE PURPLE KNIGHTS: Saint Michael's has won three of four and is coming off a 66-65 win over Saint Anselm on Saturday afternoon...Mike Holton, Jr. leads the Purple Knights in scoring with his 17.5 ppg average while adding 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game...he has also knocked down a team-best 47 three-pointers...Corey Crawford is scoring at a 9.3 ppg clip, while Travis Warech is adding eight points and 4.9 rebounds per game...James Cambrone is recording 7.4 ppg, while Tyler Schilling is shooting 60.3% from the floor and adding 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game...the Purple Knights are shooting .425 overall, .351 from three-point land and .721 at the free throw line while allowing opponents to shoot .422 overall and .355 behind the arc...Saint Michael's is scoring 66.3 ppg while allowing 69.4, and outrebounding foes 34.6-34.4.
