Michelle McCarty was named head cheerleading coach at SNHU in May, 2011.
“I am confident that Michelle will be able to restore the cheerleading program to a level of great success. She is one of the most decorated coaches in the state of New Hampshire, and her knowledge, talent, and excitement will be a great addition to the program at SNHU," said SNHU Director of Athletics Chip Polak.
McCarty has served as the head cheerleading coach at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, N.H. for the past 11 years. During her time at Pinkerton, she earned 12 State Championship titles and four consecutive New England Championship titles. McCarty’s teams at Pinkerton were also three-time Sportsmanship winners in Division I.
In addition, McCarty has worked as a head coach, a technical/safety advisor and the program manager at Extreem Cheer, the largest competition gym in New Hampshire. With Extreem Cheer, McCarty coached 19 National Title teams. In 2008, her senior-level cheerleaders earned first place honors at the Indianapolis Showdown and then placed third in 2011 in the small gym level-three junior division at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) competition in Dallas, Texas, which is the largest competition in the country.
McCarty is a 1995 graduate of Keene State College with a degree in Acting, Directing, and Technical Theatre. She lives in Weare, N.H. with her husband.

Gina Moody enters her second season as an assistant coach with the Penmen cheerleading program.
Moody is well-versed in cheerleading in New Hampshire and come to the Penmen with more than 10 years of local coaching experience. She owns the eXtreem Cheer All-Stars in Hampstead, N.H., while also serving as the head coach for the Gilbert H. Hood Middle School cheerleading team in Derry, N.H. She formerly served as head coach of the Timberlane Tornadoes cheerleading program and and as the head coach of the Hampstead Hawks program, where she led the team to back-to-back middle school state championship titles. She holds certifications in CPR/First Aid, USAG, and USASF levels 1-5.
Moody holds degrees in Child Psychology and Business from Youngstown State University. She also holds a degree in Education from Ohio University and worked as a public school teacher for obtaining her Director of Education certification.
Moody currently resides in Derry, N.H. and works at the YWCA of Greater Lawrence as an Early Education Director.

Gina Mullane is entering her second season as an assistant coach of the Penmen cheerleading program.
Mullane comes to the Penmen with years of coaching experience. In addition to her duties at SNHU, she will also continue as an assistant coach at Pinkterton High School. With the Astros, Mullane has helped the program to four state championships at the junior varsity level. Mullane also coaches at eXtreem Cheer at levels two, three, and four and has coached her teams to several state and national titles.
In 2006, Mullane was named the New Hampshire Pop Warner Coach of the Year. She also sits on the board of the Derry Wolverines and Hampstead Wildcats football and cheer programs and serves as head coach for both organizations.
A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Mullane holds degrees in Microbiology and Theatre Dance and an MBA from Bentley University. She is employed as a Corporate Vice President of Global Marketing for a local biomedical company.
