SNHU Baseball Shines in Summer Leagues

Here are some of the top performers from the SNHU baseball team in the summer leagues this season.  Stats are through July 11.


Tim Flight (Keene) – 1-0 with a 3.54 ERA…struck out 17 while walking four in 20.1 innings of work…held opponents to a .182 batting average.

Zach LeBarron (Laconia) (pictured left) – Posted a 0.87 ERA, allowing just one run in seven relief appearances for the Muskrats.

Junior Mendez (North Shore) – Made nine mound appearances with a pair of starts…owns a 2.37 ERA…earned a win in his first start of the season against New Bedford July 3.

Brad Monroe (Keene) (pictured on front) – 2-1 with a 1.54 ERA…struck out 21 batters in 23 innings of work…struck out seven and allowed two hits in six shutout innings Sunday at New Bedford in a 4-0 win.

Derrick Sylvester (Danbury) – Recorded a 3.86 ERA in four relief appearances.


Jon Massad (Webster) – Struck out season-high six batters against Rome on July 2 while allowing four hits in five innings…struck out 15 in 17.1 innings.

Kevin Spatkowski (Webster) – Batting .273 with seven runs batted in…drove in four runs in a 9-7 win over Allegany on July 1.

Hamptons Collegiate Baseball

A.J. Dusablon (North Fork) – Compiled a 4.26 ERA in seven appearances to date…did not allow an earned run in his first four appearances of the season.

David Gibson (Riverhead) – Registered a 2.45 ERA in seven appearances and owns a 1-1 record…struck out 17 in 18.1 innings of work…has not allowed a run in five of his seven outings.

Brendan O'Brien (North Fork) – Batting .271 with a .377 on-base percentage…has had multiple hits in five of 18 games, including three hits against Riverhead on July 1.

Futures Collegiate Baseball League

Jon Minucci (Nashua) (pictured right) – Batting .281 and is tied for third on the team with 17 RBI.
