Baseball Falls to Northwood (Fla.)

LANTANA, Fla. – Northwood (Fla.) University broke a 4-4 tie late with a two-run single to post a 6-4 baseball win over Southern New Hampshire Sunday morning at Santaluces Sports Complex.  The Seahawks are now 19-12-1 overall, while the Penmen are 5-6 on the season.

Freshman John Pickowicz (Hill, N.H.) started on the hill for Southern New Hampshire and worked six innings.  He fanned five with one walk and scattered eight hits, allowing three earned runs.

Thomas Quicker (West Islip, N.Y.) led the Penmen offensively with two hits, including a double.  Scott Rogers (Orr’s Island, Maine) was 1-2 with a walk and a run scored, while Bobby Wronski (Arlington, Mass.) was 1-4 with an RBI.

SNHU travels to Nova Southeastern University for a 6:00 contest Monday night.
