Female Athlete of the Week: Danielle Humphreys - Women's Soccer - Sr., F
Danielle Humphreys (Hebron, Conn.) scored a pair of goals and added an assist for a career-high five points in a 3-1 win over LIU Post on Sunday.

Male Athlete of the Week: Alex Satrustegui - Men's Soccer - Sr.
Alex Satrustegui (Pamplona, Spain) erupted for six goals in a 2-0 week, scoring twice in a 6-1 win against St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday, before becoming just the second Penmen in the last 16 years to score four goals in a game in Saturday's 5-0 blanking of Chesnut Hill. He was named NE10 Player of the Week on Tuesday for his efforts.

Notes:
- The Penmen, ranked 24th in the United Soccer Coaches Division II Poll, went 1-1 in their opening weekend at the University of Bridgeport, splitting a pair of matches against nationally-ranked opponents.
- Senior Danielle Humphreys (Hebron, Conn.) scored a pair of goals and added an assist for a career-high five points in the win over LIU Post on Sunday.
- Freshman Sydney Carney (Northborough, Mass.) scored her first collegiate goal for what would prove to be the game winner against the Pioneers.
- Freshman goalkeeper Hannah Rose (Waterloo, Ontario) stopped seven of the nine shots she faced in the two matches, including four of five in the victory.
- SNHU is now 5-4-1 (.550) against its last 10 nationally-ranked opponents, and 20-6-5 (.726) over its last 31 overall matches dating back to the 2017 campaign.

Notes:
- Men's soccer opened the season 2-0 for the fifth straight year by cruising to a pair of non-conference victories. 
- Senior Alex Satrustegui (Pamplona, Spain) erupted for six goals in the two matches, scoring twice in the 6-1 win against St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday, before becoming just the second Penmen in the last 16 years to score four goals in a game in Saturday's 5-0 blanking of Chesnut Hill. He was named NE10 Player of the Week on Tuesday for his efforts.
- Sophomore Tom Marriott (Nottingham, England) also put together a nice opening week with three goals and three assists for nine points. Marriott turned in a five-point effort against STAC to single-handedly surpass his career output of four points. Marriott assisted on the game's first goal and then scored two of his own, including the game winner. Marriott then set up a pair of Satrustegui's strikes against CHC before putting the finishing touches on the win with his own score.
- Sophomore Jannik Mohr (Koblenz, Germany) also picked up a pair of helpers against Chestnut Hill for his first points in a Penmen uniform.
- Senior goalkeeper Daniel Milton (Ajax, Ontario) turned aside nine of the 10 shots that came his way during the week, including all five in the shutout of the Griffins.

- Volleyball was idle last week and will head to California (Pa.) for four matches this weekend.

Field Hockey (1-0)

9/1 vs. Assumption - W, 2-1

9/8 vs. Limestone - 1 p.m. (Penmen Kick-Off & Stadium Open House)

Notes:
- Field hockey opened the season with a win for the fifth straight year since resuming play in 2014, by beating Assumption (2-1) for the first time ever Saturday.
- Sophomore Taylor Gent (Pretoria, South Africa) scored what would prove to be the game winner in the 51st minute, while senior Maddie Holt (Seabrook, N.H.) also added a goal just 1:49 into the contest.
- Senior Lindsey Poirier (So. Berwick, Maine) turned in a pair of defensive gems to maintain the Penmen lead in the second half, making a huge defensive save, while also breaking up a 2-on-1 for the Greyhounds.
- Senior goalkeeper Melanie Rennie (Madison, Conn.) made three saves in the victory.

Cross Country

Notes:
- The Penmen took part in the Shacklette Inivtational on Saturday for the first time since 2015.
- The women claimed their best finish since 2010 by placing second, overall. Sophomore Maura Coakley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) finished second in 19:42 - just 16 seconds behind the winner. Freshman Grace Henson (Cumberland, R.I.) was fourth in 19:56, as she was named the NE10 Rookie of the Week on Wednesday.
- The men captured the Shacklette for the first time ever, as sophomore Cedric Jocelyn (Nyack, N.Y.) edged classmate Micah Hewitson (New Market, Md.) in a photo finish in a time of 27:12.

Women's Tennis (0-1, 0-0 NE10)

9/5 at Colby-Sawyer - 4 p.m.
9/8 at Merrimack - 10 a.m.

Notes:
- Women's tennis opened with a 7-0 loss to one of the top teams in the region in NYIT on Saturday.
- Senior Anna Sala (Matadepera, Spain) fought hard at No. 1 singles, but lost in the top singles flight to Barbie Quagliardi, 7-5, 6-4.

Notes:
- The Penmen teed off the season by finishing ninth at the 23-team Glade Springs Intercollegiate Championship in Daniels, W.Va., at the Resort at Glade Springs.
- Senior Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) finished in sixth place with a 6-over 222. He shot a 73 and 70 in his first two rounds, but running into trouble on two holes in round No. 3 to total a 79.
