2011-12 YEAR IN REVIEW - January

3-Freshman BJ Cardarelli finished with 21 points to lead the men’s basketball team to an 81-73 Northeast-10  victory over Le Moyne College. 

3- Junior Michelle DeRoma led three Southern New Hampshire players in double figures with 13 points as the Penmen defeated Le Moyne College 61-49 in Northeast-10 women's basketball.

7- Junior Michelle DeRoma poured in a career-high 21 points to lead Penmen women’s basketball to a 77-54 Northeast-10 victory over nationally-ranked Assumption College.

11- Junior Sloane Sorrell poured in a career-high 30 points to lead SNHU to a 67-65 Northeast-10 women's basketball victory over The College of Saint Rose.  

14- Freshman Elijah Bonsignore led four Southern New Hampshire University players in double figures with 16 points as the men’s basketball team downed the University of New Haven 65-59.

14- Junior Sloane Sorrell had career highs of 30 points and 14 rebounds to lead Southern New Hampshire University to a 71-60 win over the University of New Haven in Northeast-10 women's basketball.   

 16-Freshman ice hockey player Dane Caracino has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week. It marks the second time this season that a SNHU player has earned the weekly honor.

16- Junior Sloane Sorrell of the women's basketball team was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week.

17-Senior Tory Stapleton totaled 22 points and 11 rebounds and made the go-ahead layup with 36 seconds remaining as Southern New Hampshire University rallied from an eight-point second half deficit to post a 72-69 Northeast-10 men's basketball victory over Pace University.

21- Senior Christine Duffy handed out 15 assists and added eight points to lead Southern New Hampshire University to an 81-74 win over Adelphi University in Northeast-10 women's basketball.

23- Freshman Steven Berry of the men’s ice hockey team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week.  It marks the third time this season that a member of the Penmen squad has garnered weekly honors. 

25- The men’s basketball team held off a furious Southern Connecticut State University rally to post a 69-67 victory. Freshman Aleksandar Dobrovic led Southern New Hampshire with a season-high 17 points, going 6-11 at the free throw line. 

28- Sophomore Victoria Wiseman matched a career high with 17 points off the bench as the women’s basketball team posted a 60-43 Northeast-10 victory over American International College.

30- A total of six SNHU student-athletes were named to their respective Fall 2011 Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference teams.  Senior Austin Britt and junior Jordan Branco of the men’s soccer team, junior Daniela Abruzzese and seniors Emily Mongeau and Ariel Teixeira of the women’s soccer team and Danielle Coffey of the volleyball team were all honored.

31- Junior Sloane Sorrell totaled 17 points as the women’s basketball team completed a season sweep of Saint Anselm College with a 59-48 Northeast-10 victory. The Penmen improve to 17-5 overall and 12-4 in the NE-10.

31- Junior Matt Boulter and sophomore Al Stanton of the baseball team were named to the preseason National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-Region team.  Boulter was a First Team selection while Stanton was a Second Team choice.
